COULTER OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== COULTER, Donald Dee 1931 - 1996 Funeral services for Donald Dee Coulter, 65, rural Clinton, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 27, 1996, at the Consalus Chapel in Clinton. Burial will be in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Don Coulter Children's Memorial Fund at Allen Street Baptist Church, 210 W. Allen St, Clinton, MO 64735. Mr. Coulter was born August 29, 1931, north of Blairstown, the son of John and Willa Stewart Coulter. He was a lifelong resident of this area. He was united in marriage to Margaret Cowan. He was a member and deacon of Allen Street Baptist Church. He had worked for many years as a sales associate with Gregg Smith Motors in Clinton. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, of the home; two daughters, Kathryn Ann Shipman of Normal, IL; and Donna Kimberly Engeman of Montrose; one brother, Ralph Coulter, Clinton; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Eldon D. (Mary) Coulter, Clinton; one granddaughter, Mikayla Engeman. (Donald Coulter's body was found in a house on North Washington St, Clinton, shortly before Christmas. Indications were that he had been beaten to death. Two suspects were later arrested and charged with first degree murder with the trial pending as of February 1997.) (November 1997: Both aged 23, pleaded guilty to avoid death penalty. Were sentenced to life in prison without parole.) (Shelby Stewart, Jr committed suicide while in state custody in Fulton. Kristin Allen is in prison.) COULTER, Eldon Dwight 1928 - 1979 Eldon Dwight Coulter of 413 S. Orchard St, Clinton, MO, met with an untimely death Thursday, July 19, 1979, in North Kansas City, MO, at the hands of unknown persons. Mr. Coulter was born October 29, 1928, in Blairstown, MO, the second son of John and Willie Coulter. He attended the Blairstown Elementary School and graduated from Norris High School with the honor of Valedictorian of his class. On November 26, 1949, Eldon and Mary Rose Arnold were united in marriage. This union was blessed with three children: James, Marilyn, and John. He is survived by his mother, two brothers, Ralph and Don of Clinton.
