CREWS OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== CREWS, Clyde Jasper 1883 - 1899 Clyde Jasper Crews, son of F. J. and Mary Crews, was born about a mile and a half east of Huntingdale, Aug. 3, 1883 and from bronchitis, dropsy and enlargement of the spleen departed this life at the home of his parents about one mile and a half east of Garland at 2 a.m. December 20, 1899. He was taken sick about Jan. 1st, 1896 and received continuous treatment from the best physicians, among whom were two noted physicians in Kansas City. He was free from suffering for the most part, never complained and took great care to watch the time for taking his medicine and prepared it himself, as to not burden his family. He told his mother he was glad to know this life was not all, was not the end. He was able to sit up within a few minutes of his death and talked cheerfully to his family. he had a noble heart and will be missed by a large circle. CREWS, Mary Louise "Mollie" FREEMAN - 1900 Died, Sunday, October 14, 1900 at 4 p.m. at her home on the Dorman farm in Fields Creek township, Mrs. Mollie Louise Freeman Crews. She was the wife of F. J. Crews and leaves five children, besides her husband. Her infant daughter survives her and promises fair to live a monument to a mother's devotion and self-sacrifice. She was born and reared at Huntingdale and sleeps well at the old homestead, the scenes of her early life. CREWS, W. A. 1838 - 1921 W. A. Crews of Liberty died January 5, 1921 in a hospital in Kansas City, where had undergone an operation. He was born in Chillicothe March 10, 1838, came to Henry County when small, living on a farm south of Clinton. Before moving away, a number of years ago, he was married in 1884 to Miss Susie Slavens, who survives him with three grown children, Mrs. E. H. Sutherland, Urbana, Illinois, Mrs. T. J. Wornall, Jr. of Liberty, and Miss Rita, at home. He also leaves one sister and two brothers, Mrs. J. M. Ramsey and Frank Crews of Clinton, and a younger brother, Ed Crews, who they have not heard from for a long time. The diseased was a member of the Baptist Church and a faithful follower of the Master. He has many friends in Henry County, who were indeed sorry to hear of his death, and who deeply sympathize with the family and other relatives in their sorrow.
