CUMPTON OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== CUMPTON, Lillian May GARDNER abt 1923 - 2000 Kansas City Star, May 8 2000 - Lillian May Cumpton, 77, of Clinton, MO, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2000, at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, MO. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton; with burial in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. Family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday at the chapel. Family suggests contributions to the Cove Creek Christian Church and may be left at the funeral home. Lillian was born in Greeley, CO. She and her husband operated a farm before moving to Clinton 16 years ago. Her husband, Kenneth Lee Cumpton preceded her in death on August 12, 1996. She was a member of the Cove Creek Christian Church. She is survived by two sons, Richard Cumpton and wife, Beverly, of Clinton, MO, and Leon Cumpton and wife, Cheryl, of Sedalia, MO; two daughters, Joyce Kidwiler and husband, Allen, of Clinton, MO, and Cindy Kagarice and husband, Roy, of Butler, MO; four brothers, Kenneth Gardner and wife, Marva Lee, of Independence, MO, Boyce Gardner of Clinton, MO, Junior Gardner and wife, Kay, of Montrose, MO, and Daniel Gardner and wife, Sue, of Kansas City, MO; one sister, Mary Lucille Paddock of Clinton, MO; two sisters-in-law, Faye Hunt and husband, Bill, and Kathleen Cumpton, all of Butler, MO; as well as 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
