CURRY OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== CURRY, Joanne Ethel VASQUEZ 1930 - 2000 Clinton Daily Democrat Jan 21 2000 - Joanne Ethel Curry, Lee's Summit, was born July 26, 1930, in San Diego, California, daughter of Alexander and Inez Henry Vasquez. She died Monday January 10, 2000 at her home. She had lived in Clinton from 1969-1996; the last tow years were spent in Lee's Summit. She was a member of St. Sabina Catholic Church in Belton. She was a graduate of Mt. Empire High School, Campo, California, and was a supporter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She married William Laurence Curry in February 1948, at Descanso, California. He preceded her in death November 1985. Her parents and one grandson, Steven Bradshaw, also preceded her. Survivors include five sons, William J. Curry and wife Eva, Laurence Alex Curry, Clinton, James Robert Curry and wife Cindy, Holden, John Adrian Curry and wife Donna, Breckenridge, George Samuel Curry and wife Debbie, Parkville; one daughter, Lorraine E. Baird, Lee's Summit; eight grandsons, William Baird and wife, Hillory, Matthew Baird, Patrick Baird, Daniel Bradshaw, Rob Curry, Joshua John Curry, Nick Curry, Jeff Curry; three granddaughters, Samantha Curry, Stephanie Curry, Janelle Lorraine Curry; one great-granddaughter, Bailey Baird; three brothers, Jerry Vasquez, National City, California, Jimmy Vasquez and wife, Patty, Kingman, Arizona, Loren Vasquez, Beverly Hills, California; one sister, Anita Woodall and husband Earl, Slagle, Id. Memorial services, under the direction of Consalus Funeral Home, were held Friday, January 14, with Father Philip Wantabe officiating. Music was "Ave Maria" and "His Hand and Mine". Burial was in Englewood Cemetery.
