DENNIS, Robert Lee 1922 - 1992

Robert Lee Dennis, son of Joseph Allen and Harriet Huffman Dennis, was born 
March 6, 1922 near Piper in Henry County, and passed away July 31, 1992 at Iuka 
Hospital in Iuka, Mississippi at the age of 70. He had lived most of his life in 
Henry County. He was an Army veteran of WWII. He owned and operated the D&W 
Trailer Home Escort Service in Iuka, Mississippi. He is survived by one son, Kelly 
Dennis, Iuka, Mississippi; two daughters, Phyliss Cameron, Pinson, Tennessee and 
Jamie Young, Lexington, Tennessee; one brother, Jay Dennis, Montrose; two 
sisters, Lela Holston, San Diego, California, and Dorothea Meckling, Nashville, 
Tennessee and seven grandchildren. Graveside services were held at White Oak 
Cemetery, Tuesday, August 4, 1992 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Jan Schnepf 
officiating. Burial was under direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton. 
Military services were under the auspices of Urich American Legion Post.
