DOYLE OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== DOYLE, Matilda Churchill "Mattie" EVERETT 1855 - 1919 Clinton MO, Nov 1919 - Mrs. John R. Doyle Died - At her home on East Clinton street at 8:20 a.m. last Saturday, with heart trouble and paralysis. She had a stroke last February, then got better and able to be up, but was stricken again in August and was bedfast ever since. She was born near Thornton's Ferry, southeast of Clinton on Nov. 7, 1855. Her maiden name was Mattie Everett. February 4, 1875, she was united in marriage to John R. Doyle. They lived in Clinton awhile, then moved to Brownington, where they lived several years, returning to Clinton, which had been their home ever since. She was converted and united with the Baptist church in 1867 and had been a faithful, consecrated Christian ever since. Hers was a gentle spirit and she ruled her home by love and kindness. She was ever ready to do what she could for the church, lending a hand and heart to all of its activities. She is survived by her beloved husband and their two daughters, Mrs. Ed C. Peelor and Mrs. L. W. Brown. She also leaves five grandchildren, her mother, Mrs. A. R. Everett, who has made her home with her daughter for many years. she has just one brother, Rev. John Everett, of Memphis, Tenn., who was here during her illness but who had returned home before she died. The funeral services were conducted at her late home on East Clinton St., Sunday afternoon, by her pastor, Rev.
