ENGEMAN OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== ENGEMAN, Edmund B. 1924 - 1991 Edmund B. Engeman, age 67, died suddenly at Ellett Memorial Hospital in Appleton City on September 17, 1991. He was born near Appleton City on February 3, 1924, son of August Jr. and Cecelia Kirsch Engeman. He received his schooling at Maple Grove School in Germantown. He was a farmer in the Germantown community before moving to Appleton City nine years ago. He married Irene Hageboeck in 1946. They were the parents of four adopted children. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Montrose, the Optimist Club of Appleton City, the Appleton City Community Club and he worked for the Appleton City Hospice group. In his spare time he volunteered to work in his community. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene, and his parents. Survivors include two daughters, Susan McIntire, and husband, Bill, Appleton City, Barbara Thomason and husband, Richard, of Ada, Ok.; two sons, William Engeman, and wife, Debi, of Eagan, Mn., Steve Engeman and wife, Sandy of House Springs, Mo.; 9 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandchild; two brothers, James Engeman and Alfred Engeman of rural Montrose; seven sisters, Marie Samland, Montrose, Rose Campbell, Gladstone, Mildred Koenig, Tucson, Az., Angeline Stout, Isle of Palms, S.C., Sister Celine, OSF, Independence, Wilma Lee, Bayonne, N.J., and Evelyn Light, Independence. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 20, 1991 at St. Ludger's Catholic Church, Germantown, with Father Jerry Wegenek officiating. Music was furnished by Kim Rotert and Cheryl Rotert, organists, and Carl McLaughlin, singing Only A Shadow and Ave Maria. Pallbearers were Joe Samland, Jim Campbell, Bob Engeman, James Engeman, Jr., Dan Campbell, Tom Engeman. Servers were James Day, Guy Davenport, Larry Engeman. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Montrose. ENGEMAN, Paul Joseph 1924 - 1991 Paul Joseph Engeman, son of Joseph and Monica Schmedding Engeman, was born April 17, 1924 in Appleton City. He departed this life December 3, 1991 at his home in rural Montrose, at the age of 67 years. Paul lived all of his life in the Montrose area. He attended St. Mary's School in Montrose. He was united in marriage to Angeline Bettels October 19, 1948 at St. Ludger's Catholic Church in Germantown. Paul worked as a cattleman, and was employed by the United States Department of Agriculture as an enumerator from 1963 until 1991. He was a member of St. Ludger's Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Missouri Cattleman's Association, and served on the board of directors at the Farmer's Elevator of Clinton. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers, Bernard, Leo, George and Ralph Engeman. He is survived by his wife, Angeline of the home; three sons, Marvin Engeman, Montrose, Chris Engeman of Kansas City, and Darcy Engeman of Jacksonville, Fl.; one daughter, Twila Roarke of Irving, Tx.; one brother, Vince Engeman of Appleton City; one sister, Rita Wagner of Appleton City, and 4 granddaughters. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 7, 1991 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Montrose, with Father Jerry Wegenek officiating. Music was by the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Choir with Aileene Mayer, organist. Pallbearers were Ivan Engeman, Duane Engeman, John Engeman, Gary Cook, Jeff Shoemaker, Brent Bettels.
