EPP OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== EPP, Eldon G. 1921 - 1999 Clinton Daily Democrat Sep 24 1999 - Eldon G. Epp, 77, Clinton, died Friday, September 10, 1999, at the V. A. Medical Center in Kansas City. Eldon was born November 14, 1921, on a farm near Henderson, Nebraska, to Peter M. and Margaret Rempel Epp. He was married in 1941 to Mary Kippenstein Epp. He served in the Army Air Corps from 1942-45 in Europe, participating in the Normandy Landing and the Battle of the Bulge. Eldon worked as a mechanic and ran a farm in Henderson, Nebraska, followed by Fulton, until retiring to the Lake of the Ozarks at Sunrise Beach in 1968, and later moved to his present home in Clinton. He was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church, the American Legion, the NRA and formerly the Lions Club. Eldon is survived by his wife, Mary of the home; son, Jerry and wife, Karen, and grandson Jeremy, Raytown; granddaughter, Kristin of Owassso, Oklahoma; brother, Harland and wife, Lily, and sister, Malinda Doell of Henderson, Nebraska. Funeral services were held at the Vansant-Mills Chapel on Tuesday, September 14, at 2 p.m. with Dr. David Maggi officiating. "How Great Thou Art' and "Beyond The Sunset" were sung by David L. Mills and Peggy Arthur with Mrs. Arthur as organist. Pallbearers were Gordan Baily, Nolan Jones, Rick Evans, Carrol McVeigh, Joe Hays and W. D. Scott. Burial was in the Clinton Memory Gardens Cemetery, Clinton, under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton.
