ERWIN OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== ERWIN, Frank Noble 1905 - 1998 Frank N. Erwin died at his home in Lee's Summit, August 10, 1998, at the age of 92 years, 10 months and 23 days. Mr. Erwin was born September 17, 1905, in Urich, the son of Walter H. and Ada King Erwin. He attended the University of Missouri and on December 26, 1939, he married Nevaleen Williams who preceded in death November 17, 1996. For over 50 years, Mr. Erwin was one of the primary owners of the Bank of Urich. He was president of the bank and retired in 1981. He lived all his life in Urich until moving to Lee's Summit 12 years ago. He was a former member of the Henry County Library Board, Henry County Museum Board, Henry County Defense Council, WW II, Henry County School Reorganization Board, Modern Woodmen of America; also secretary of Urich School Board for 20 years, charter member of Urich Lions Club, a member of the 50-year Club of Missouri Bankers' Association and the Masonic Lodge for over 65 years. He was a lifelong member of the Urich Presbyterian, now Evangel Presbyterian Church where he was an elder and secretary of Sunday school for many years. He is survived by one son, Robert K. Erwin and wife, Jane, Lee's Summit; one daughter, Sandra Coblentz, Windsor; one brother, Eugene Erwin, Urich; one sister, Elizabeth Huser, Coronado, California; four grandchildren, Kristin Coblentz, Blue Springs, Cara Rogers, Holden, Robb Erwin and Susan Erwin, both of Lee's Summit; two great-grandsons, Zachary Rogers, Austin Rogers and one great-granddaughter, Rachel Rogers, all of Holden; also numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 13, at Consalus Chapel in Urich. Rev. Ron Galvin officiated. Carolyn McQuitty sang 'How Great Thou and 'Because He Lives'. Nettie Mouse was organist. Pallbearers were Gary Hubert, Del Gretzinger, E.P. Graef, Dennis Doll, Wayne Mouse and Phillip Cook. Burial was In Urich Cemetery under the direction of Consalus Funeral Home, Urich. ERWIN, Nevaleen WILLIAMS 1906 - 1996 Nevaleen Williams Erwin was born August 28, 1906, in rural St. Clair County, to Oda E. and Carrie Borum Williams. She died at Lee's Summit Hospital, November 17, 1996, at the age of 90. Nevaleen graduated from Appleton City High School in 1923 and began her teaching career the following autumn at age 17, earning college credits each summer. On December 26, 1939, she married Frank Noble Erwin and to this union two children were born, Sandra Sue and Robert king. She returned to teaching when the children were of school age and completed 31 years, the last 13 at Clinton Junior High School. Nevaleen and Frank made their home in Urich for 47 years before moving to Lee's Summit in 1986 to be near their children and grandchildren. Mrs. Erwin loved children and after retirement continued her interest and involvement in issues pertaining to their well-being. Her special delight was in her own grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also was thrilled that many former students continued to stay in touch regularly. An avid reader, she pursued numerous hobbies including oil painting and needlework, which she enjoyed sharing with family and friends. Until the past three weeks, she was remarkably independent and successful in handling daily living tasks and caring for Frank and their home. Nevaleen found Christ at an early age and was baptized in a stream near Ohio Christian Church. She later became a member of Urich Evangel Presbyterian Church. She was a 50-year member of Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron; also a member of Clinton Chapter of DAR, and a life member of the Missouri Retired Teachers Association. She is survived by her husband, Frank, of the home; one son, Robert Erwin and wife, Jane, Lee's Summit; one daughter, Sandra Coblentz, Windsor; four grandchildren, Robert Erwin, Jr., Susan Erwin, Kirstin Coblentz, Cara Rogers and husband, Jason; three great-grandchildren, Zachary Rogers, Rachel Rogers and Austin Rogers; one sister, Naomi Renken, Lee's Summit; two brothers, Kelly Williams, Lee's Summit, and Don Williams, Brandenton, Florida; many cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives who mourn her passing. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, at the Consalus Chapel in Urich. Rev. Ron Galvin officiated. Don Eaton sang "How Great Thou Art" and Because He Lives", accompanied by Nettie Mouse, organist. Pallbearers were Ron Alsop, Michael Vogt, Van McLain, Phillip Cook, Dennis Doll and Kenneth Vogt.
