FEASEL OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== FEASEL, Fay Arthur 1905 - 1995 Fay Arthur Feasel was born February 23, 1905, near Kingsville, and died December 5, 1995, at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton. He was the son of William Arthur Feasel and Emma Elizabeth Morris Feasel. The family lived on the farm that had been homesteaded by his Grandfather Feasel until 1911 when they moved to Kingsville and owned a drugstore until 1913 when they returned to the farm. When Fay was 20 years old, he began operating a garage in Kingsville in partnership with his brother. A few years later, he returned to the farm. On June 8, 1930, Fay married Myra Elizabeth Stephenson from Shawnee Mound. Their first home was on the Feasel Farm. Then they moved in late 1931 to the farm west of Shawnee Mound and lived with Myra's parents. Except for a short period of time when he lived in the Deer Creek community, Fay lived at Shawnee Mound until 1990 when his health no longer permitted him to live alone. Since that time he has made his home with his daughters and their husbands, Doris and Kenneth Hunter an Shirley and Paul Farnsworth. As a young man, Fay accepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized and became a member of the Christian Church in Kingsville. Later his membership was moved to the Shawnee Mound Cumberland Presbyterian Church were he served as a deacon and later as an elder. He was active in community concerns serving on the local school board and being a charter member of the Henry County Farm Bureau. He was also a charter member of Gideon's International Clinton Camp and helped with the distribution of scriptures as long as he was able. Along with being a farmer, Fay did Soil Conservation Construction work building many ponds, terraces and silos and clearing brush and hedge rows in Johnson and Henry counties. One of his greatest loves was driving the bulldozer or grader to help preserve the land for future generations. Fay was preceded in death by his wife, Myra, on January 4, 1982; his parents, two brothers and one sister. He is survived by his daughter, Doris Ann Hunter and husband, Kenneth of Clinton and daughter, Shirley Elizabeth Farnsworth and husband, Paul of Pleasant Hill; sister, Elizabeth Holland of Harrisonville; grandsons, David Hunter of Fair Grove, Mark Farnsworth of Ft. Myers, Florida, Keith Farnsworth of Moravia, New York, Scott Farnsworth of Lehigh Acres, Florida; granddaughter, Mary Lyn Childs of Gladstone; granddaughter, Connie Clark of Pleasant Hill; six great-grandsons and one great- granddaughter and nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 9, at the Shawnee Mound Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Don Eaton sang "How Great Thou Art" and "One Day At A Time", accompanied by the pianist, Betty Crooks. Pallbearers were David Hunter, Mark Farnsworth, Keith Farnsworth, Charles Childs, Scott Farnsworth, Ted Austin, Alvin Crooks and Bill Ragland. Burial was in the Shawnee Mound Cemetery, under the direction of Consalus Funeral Home, Clinton. FEASEL, Myra Elizabeth STEPHENSON 1903 - 1982 Myra Elizabeth Feasel was born December 30, 1903 at Deepwater, the daughter of Louis Clifton and Eliza Ann Stephenson. She died January 4, 1982 at Golden Valley Hospital at the age of 78 years and five days. When she was five years old, the family moved to the William Hinton farm in the Shawnee Mound community, where she still resided. She attended Shawnee Mound School, graduating in the first high school graduating class in 1923. In 1930, she was united in marriage to Fay A. Feasel of Kingsville, MO. Their wedding was the second wedding in the Shawnee Mound Cumberland Presbyterian Church. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 8, 1980 at the church. Mrs. Feasel was a school teacher for many years and retired from the Leeton School system. She is survived by her husband, Fay A. Feasel, of the home; two daughters and their husbands, Doris Ann and Kenneth Hunter, Chilhowee, and Shirley Elizabeth and Paul Farnsworth, Pleasant Hill.
