GIBSON OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== GIBSON, Carrie Anna EVANS McDONALD 1882 - 1929 The Urich Herald, Vol. 36 No 18 - Carrie Anna Evans, daughter of John and Lillian Evans, was born at Columbus, Kansas, October 22, 1882, and died September 3, 1929, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri, her age being 45 years, 10 months and 12 days. In 1899 she was united in marriage to Paul H. McDonald. To this union was born one son, Arthur McDonald, who survives her. In 1915 she was married to James F. Gibson, who preceded her in death, May 1924. Besides her son she leaves to mourn her departure her mother, Mrs. Lillian Bradley, a sister, Mrs. T. U. Jefferson, both of this city, and a brother, W. H. Evans, of Wichita, Kansas. At an early age she was converted and united with the Methodist church at Lucas, holding to the faith until the end. For some time she had been employed at the Palace Clothing Company's store in Kansas City, and six of her friends, associate employees, accompanied the body to this city and attended the funeral services. H. P. Smith and R. E Graham, local undertakers, went to Kansas City Tuesday and brought the body to this city and to the home of I. R. and T. U. Jefferson, from which place funeral services, conducted by Rev. Wright, pastor of the local Presbyterian church, were held at 2 'clock Wednesday afternoon and interment made at the Urich Cemetery. GIBSON, Donald J. n/a - 1991 Donald J. Gibson, 52, Chilhowee, died Sunday, September 29, 1991 at the Veterans Hospital in Kansas City. He is survived by his wife, Laura of the home; his mother, Osa Koehler, Chilhowee; his step-father, fred Koehler, Sedalia; four step-children, Timothy Crowell, Independence, Pamela Graham, Kansas City, Regan Crowell, Ladue, and Sandra Welcher, Raytown; three sisters, Jean Rosa, Kansas City, Carolyn Heerman, Beeman, Ne., and Jane Janzen, Kansas City; a step- sister, Colene Holcomb, Spokane, Wa.; a step-brother, Larry Koehler, Spokane; and 12 grandchildren. Following cremation, memorial services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the colbern Road Reorganized Latter Day Saints Church in Blue Springs. GIBSON, John R. 1922 - 1988 John R. Gibson, 66, Tucson, AZ, died Wednesday, June 15, 1988, as the result of an automobile accident south of Warrensburg at the junction of Y Road and Highway 13. He was born Jan 15, 1922, in Urich, MO, the son of John W. Gibson and Nellie (Farnsworth) Gibson. On May 9, 1942, he married Ruby Orth in Centertown, MO. Mr. Gibson was a retired U. S. Air Force Colonel. He was a pilot and had served in WW II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Surviving are his wife; one son, Michael Gibson, Honolulu, Hawaii; three daughters, Lynda Gibson, Seligman, AZ; Pamela Gibson, Honolulu, and Patricia VanCleve, Austin, TX; one brother, Charles, Seattle, WA; and one sister, Lillian Dakopolos, Tucson, AZ. Memorial services were held at Holdren Funeral Home. Following cremation, burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, Marion, MO. GIBSON, Margaret Ann 1928 - 1986 Margaret Ann Gibson, 58, 1803 E. Green St., Clinton, died Saturday, August 9, 1986, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City. She was born Jan 26, 1928, in Cook, NE, and had lived in Warrensburg for more than 30 years, moving to Clinton 2 1/2 years ago. She had retired in 1982 after 30 years as an assistant industrial engineer with Whiteman Air Force Base. Surviving is her husband, Raymond, of the home in Clinton; a daughter, Mrs. Peggy Ward of Blairstown and three grandchildren.
