GOODMAN OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== GOODMAN, Bessie Annie HARRIS 1875 - 1973 The Creighton Banner, Sep 6 1973 - Mrs. Bessie Annie Harris Goodman, daughter of Simpson and Permelia James Harris, was born April 14, 1875, near Urich, Mo., and passed away August 29, 1973, at the Golden Valley Memorial hospital, Clinton, Mo., at the age of 98 years, 4 months and 15 days. She was united in marriage to Benjamin Goodman on September 4, 1894, and they spent their entire married life on a farm in the Lucas community. To this union was born five children: Mable Barth, Myrtle, George, Roy and Floyd. She was preceded in death by her husband and four children. Survivors are one son, Roy and daughter-in-law, Anna; two nieces, Misses Edith and Daisy Jefferson, other relatives and a host of friends. As a young woman she united with the United Brethren church. Aunt Bessie as she was affectionately know, greatly enjoyed her home, visiting with friends and raising flowers. She lived alone as long as her health permitted; however the past 2 years she has made her home with her son, Roy and wife, who gave her tender loving care. The funeral service was conducted at the Lucas United Methodist church, southwest of Urich, Mo., Saturday afternoon, September 1, with the Rev. James E. Crawford and the Rev. Robert Bullock officiating. Two songs, Upper Garden and Beyond The Sunset were rendered by Lewis Delozier, singer, and Mrs. Lewis Delozier, pianist. The casket bearers were: Oren Henny, Edward Doll, Bradley Jefferson, Harold Sevier, Robert Vinyard, W. L. McDonald and L. R. Goodman.
