GREGORY OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== GREGORY, Abby T. QUILLEN 1895 - 1966 Abby T. Quillen Gregory, 70, daughter of Seward E. and Laura T. Dunston Quillen, was born May 21, 1895, at Weaubleau, MO. She died in May 2, 1966. On Feb 11, 1928, she married Jess Gregory. She had lived in the Clinton Community about 39 years and was a member of the Allen Street Baptist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Gregory operated a filling station and grocery on Highway 7 for many years. Prior to that they operated the Quarles Store north of Clinton. She is survived by her husband, two daughters and three step-daughters. Also, two brothers. Burial was in Carrsville Cemetery. GREGORY, Clyda Myrtle LOGSDON KELLY 1883 - 1967 Funeral services for Mrs. James H. Gregory, Windsor, Mo., were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, at the Gouge Funeral Home at Windsor. The services were conducted by the Rev. Robert Vance. Mrs. Walter Chipman and Mrs. Clark Henry accompanied by Mrs. Belford Jackson, sang. Pallbearers were all grandsons, Donald O`Bryan, Lonnie Stewart, Gene Kelly, Billy Kelly, Roy Lee Gregory, and Dale Thomas. Burial was in the Carrsville Cemetery. Mrs. Gregory died May 16, 1967 at the Windsor Hospital. Clyda Myrtle Gregory, the daughter of John J. A. and Rebecca Logsdon, was born Feb. 2, 1883, in Benton County, Mo. On Oct. 1, 1899 she married Everett A. Kelly and they were the parents of five children, four of whom survive. Mr. Kelly died Aug. 7, 1909. In 1911 Mrs. Kelly married James H. Gregory and they were the parents of two children. Mr. Gregory died Mar. 1930 Mrs. Gregory joined the Baptist church at Hasten, Mo. and after moving to Windsor, Mo. community in 1935, she transferred her membership to the First Baptist church there. Survivors include three sons, James Kelly, Windsor, William T. Kelly, Kansas City, Mo., and Glen Gregory, Higginsville, Mo.; three daughters; Mrs. J. L. (Iva) Spor, Missouri City, Mo., Mrs. Frank ( Inza) Stewart, Holden, Mo., and Mrs. Edgar (Ona) O`Bryan, Birmingham; one foster son, Junior D. Thomas, Kansas City, Mo.; two step-sons, Jess Gregory, Clinton, Mo. and Lester Gregory, Blackburn; and one sister, Mrs. Edna Land, Hemet, Calif.; thirty-three grandchildren; fifty-six great grandchildren; and eleven great, great grandchildren. GREGORY, Jess Albert 1898 - 1973 Jess Albert Gregory of Route 1, Clinton, was born February 25, 1898, in Benton County, MO, the son of James Henry Gregory and Emily Mock Gregory. He passed away suddenly Sunday, January 7, 1973, at the Golden Valley Hospital. He was married to Abby Dunham on Feb 11, 1928. They operated a grocery store and service station at Quarles for a number of years and later bought and operated the station at Highway 7 and Water Street until the highway took the station in 1962. They retired and built a new home on Highway 7 where they lived until her death on May 2, 1966. He married Marian Williams on December 24, 1968. Funeral services were held January 10 with burial in Englewood Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were: C. B. Carter, Paul Collier, Ray Wilson, Ora Tally, Harless Tillman, Bob Hutcherson, Chester Redford, Rev. Joe Caudill, L. H. Flippin, Jr., Harry Green, Clarence Shobe, Kelso Journey, Carl James, Bob Lawson and Leon Caskey. Pallbearers were: Robert Gregory, J. L.
