GROFF OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== GROFF, Forest Parks 1906 - 1994 Forest P. Groff, 88, of Mascoutah, IL, formerly of Deepwater, born May 23, 1906, in Bethlehem Community, died Friday, July 8, 1994, at his residence. Mr. Groff was a retired equipment operator from Peabody Coal Company and a member of First Baptist Church in Mascoutah, IL, UMWA Local 1148 in Marisa, IL, and Mo. Shasta RV Club. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Margaret nee Gilbert, Groff; his parents, Lafe and Daisy, nee Parks, Groff; a grandson, Forest Leallen Groff in infancy; a brother Marion Groff; and a sister, Ruth Hutchison. Surviving are his wife, Irma Ruth, nee Walden, Brack Groff, whom he married June 7, 1953, in Deepwater; four sons, Forrest Wayne Groff and his wife Marie of El Dorado Springs, James Allen Groff and his wife Joan Sue of Clinton, David Groff and his wife Nancy of Mascoutah, IL, and the Rev. James Harold Brack and his wife Linda of Deepwater; a daughter, Peggy Sue Hills and her husband Fred of Osceola; two sisters, Esther Martin of Clinton and Hazel (Bernard) Dukes of Denver, Co.; thirteen grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren. Services were held at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL, Monday, July 11 1994 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Larry Lewis officiating. Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church in Deepwater on Wednesday, July 13, 1994, at 10 a.m. with Rev. James Brack and Rev. Durward Scott officiating. I Bow My Knee and Cry Holy was sung by Stacy Wilson. The Old Rugged Cross and In The Garden were sung by Mrs. Ina McGinness with Mrs. Norma Chambers playing the organ. Pallbearers were Doug Chambers, Kent Scott, Raymond Green, Tom Dehn, Frank Brack, and Walter Dehn.
