HAVERLAND OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== HAVERLAND, George C. 1896 - 1965 George Haverland, 68, of 800 S. Second, Clinton, retired local rural mail carrier, died Feb 6, 1965, at a Nevada Hospital after a long illness. Last rites were conducted Feb 7 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Clinton. Interment was in Englewood Cemetery. Mr. Haverland for 32 years was a rural mail carrier with the Clinton post office. He served most efficiently from 1929 until his retirement in 1961. George C. Haverland was born April 8, 1896, at Mt. Zion, the only child of Henry August and Emma Schmidli Haverland. When seven years of age he moved with his family to Clinton were he was reared and educated. On March 19, 1924, he married Kathryn Allen and they spent all their married lives in Clinton. They had no children.
