HAY OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== HAY, Hershel L. 1925 - 1992 Hershel L. Hay, 66, Lexington, died Wednesday, May 6, 1992 at St. Lukes Hospital, Kansas City. He was born June 1, 1925 in Springfield to E. M. Hay and Lena Bills Hay. He was married to Dorothy M. Bradley on July 20, 1946. Hay was a Lexington resident since 1946. He was a member of the Lexington United Methodist Church. He was active in Boy Scouts for 44 years; Tribe of Mic-O-Say and was a Silver Beaver recipient. He was a member of the Lexington Lions Club, Optimist Club and Lexington Masonic Lodge #149 AF & AM. He was a warehouse manager for Mattingly Brothers in Lexington for 26 years. Hay served as City Marshal of Lexington from 1980 to 1986. Survivors include his wife of the home; one son, Dr. Chris Hay, Marshall; one daughter, Cara Wallace, Lexington; one brother, Leonard Hay, Pleasant Hill; one half-brother, Rev. E. M. Hay Jr., Texas; one step-brother, Harry Don Hite, Clinton; three sisters, Josephine Hanna, Helen Childers and Mildred DeLozier, all of Clinton; one half-sister, Carolyn Hubbs, Clinton; three step-sisters, Jean McMillian, Rose Ann Phillips, both of Clinton and Mary DeTurpin, Kansas City and four grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, May 8, at Walker-Nadler-Graff Chapel from 7 to 7:30 p. m. Services will be held at 10:30 a. m. Saturday, May 9, at the Walker-Nadler-Graff Chapel. Burial will be in the Lexington Memory Gardens.
