HICKMAN OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== HICKMAN, James L. 1928 - 1999 The Kansas City Star, Jan 1 1999 - James L. Hickman, 70 of San Antonio and Canyon Lake TX. (formerly of Clinton, MO.) died December 29, 1998. Services were held Friday January 1, at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home, Sattler, TX. Memorials may be made to the America Heart Association, The American Diabetes Association, or to the National Kidney Foundation of Texas. Mr. Hickman had a long and successful career as chief of assisted housing for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development in San Antonia. He served in the McArthur's Army WW ll as well as in the Korean Conflict. His passions were his family, fishing and travel. He leaves his wife of 34 years, Carol Hickman; five sons, James L. Hickman Jr., Floyd "Pete" Hickman, Robert "Bobby" Winningham; and Craig Winningham; daughter, Carolyn Watson; twelve grandchildren & four great- grandchildren.
