HILL OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== HILL, Jessie Irene MOORE 1926 - 1999 Clinton Daily Democrat Sep 1 1999 - Jessie Irene Hill, daughter of Slim and Lucy (Hutchens) Moore, was born March 18, 1926, in Boonville, and died July 26, 1999, at the Golden Valley Hospital in Clinton at the age of 73 years. Jessie loved the outdoors and being with her grandchildren. She was a Baptist. Jesse is survived by two sons, Ronnie Hill and wife, Bobbi, and Terry Hill and wife, Linda; two daughters, Wanda Thomas and Doris J. Tye, all of Clinton; one step-daughter, Carol Felton of Fayette, as well as 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services were held at the Vansant-Mills Chapel on Thursday, July 29, at 10 a.m. with Deacon J. R. Shockley officiating. The music was "The Old Rugged Cross", "Beyond The Sunset" and "Rock of Ages". Pallbearers were Richard Holder, Randy Remer, Jim Harrelson, Kim Gilmore, Mike Julian and Shawn Morlan. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Greer, Tom Golder, Toby Strouse and Ted Sweets. Burial was in the Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton. HILL, John E. abt 1932 - 2000 Kansas City Star, May 15 2000 - John E. Hill, 68, Sunrise Beach, MO, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, May 13, 2000, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie, MO. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, at Faith Baptist Church in Climax Springs, MO; burial in Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor, MO. In Lieu of flowers, contributions in John's name may be made to Faith Baptist Church, Climax Springs, MO. John was a graduate of Windsor High School in Windsor, MO. He and his wife raised three sons in the Raytown and Kansas City area. John retired from the Kansas City Police Department in 1982, after serving 25 years as a patrolman and pilot for Kansas City Police Helicopter Unit. He and his wife retired to Sunrise Beach in 1983, where he and his sons built their retirement home. John became a Christian at an early age and was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Climax Springs where he served the Lord. John was a Director for the Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District Board for nine years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Ella Hill; and two nephews, Bobby Hill and Kelly Hill. John is survived by his wife of 49 years, Agnes Christian Hill, of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, John W. and Jann Hill of Kansas City, MO, James L. and Carol Hill of Raymore, MO, and Mark and Lana Hill of Oak Grove, MO; one sister, Marion Hancock of Greenview, MO; two brothers, Charles Hill of Grapevine, TX, and Donald Hill of Warrensburg, MO; eight grandchildren; and two grandsons-in-law.
