HOPKINS OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== HOPKINS, Elmer Roy 1924 - 1993 Elmer Roy Hopkins of Garden City, MO, was born January 15, 1924, near Lincoln, the son of John William and Ida (Schelle) Hopkins. He departed this life April 13, 1993, at his home near Garden City at the age of 69 years. He was a farmer and stockman. Earlier he was owner/operator of Hopkins Truck Line in Garden City from 1970 until 1984 and was a driver for Pacific Mountain Express and Phillips Petroleum Company, both in Kansas City. He was a member of the Quick City Baptist Church near Holden. He had lived in Raytown before moving to Garden City in 1962. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Curtis, William, and Jim. He is survived by a son, John E. of Garden City; a brother, Edgar Hopkins, Pleasant Hill; two sisters, Georgia Brammer, Tulsa, OK, and Elsie Shaw, Empire, CA.
