MIDDAUGH OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== MIDDAUGH, Franklin B. 1924 - 1985 Franklin B. (Tom) Middaugh, age 61, of Peculiar, MO, the son of William Elijah and Iva Belle Malone Middaugh, was born March 5, 1924 in the community of Garland, Henry County. He died Tuesday, December 24, 1985 at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, as result of an automobile accident near Peculiar. On January 31, 1943 he was united in marriage to Mildred Wright. To this union two sons were born. He moved to Peculiar in 1952 and he became a rural Cass County Newspaper carrier for the Kansas City Star and Times. He had worked for the Ray-Pec School District the past seven years as a custodian for the Peculiar Elementary School where he was loved by the children and faculty. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Bell Middaugh, three brothers, Freddie, Norville and William Middaugh, a sister, Mrs. Louise Burke. He is survived by two sons, a brother, Les Middaugh, Grandview, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Franklin B. Middaugh were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 28, at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville. Burial was in Norris cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were Ralph Hetherington, Jr., Shelby Nasalroad, Otto Lewis, Donald Shull, Pete Kinney, Sonny Crooks, Jerry Maxwell and Richard Williams. Pallbearers were Chris Middaugh, Bill Middaugh, Ola Clevenger, Jeff Harper, Charles Barnard and P. D. Kircher. MIDDAUGH, Glen B. n/a - 1992 Glen B. Middaugh, 72, Nevada, formerly of Raytown, died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1992 at Research Medical Center. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Ferry Chapel, Nevada; burial in Newton Burial Park Cemetery, Nevada. The family suggests any contributions go to the Vernon County Cancer Relief Fund. Mr. Middaugh was born in Henry County and lived in Raytown before he moved to Nevada eight years ago. He worked at the General Motors Leeds assembly plant for 28 years, retiring as a labor relations supervisor. He performed in the Kansas City Banjo Band for 12 years. He was a member of the Blue Ridge Trinity Lutheran Church, Kansas City. Survivors include his wife, Ruby L. Wallen Middaugh of the home; a son, Geoffrey Middaugh, Ontario, Or.; a daughter, Pam Engle, Raytown; two step-sons, Dean Wallen, Kansas City, and Roger Wallen, Raytown; three grandchildren; six step-grandchildren, and eight step-great-grandchildren. MIDDAUGH, Iva B. MALONE 1892 - 1985 Iva Belle Middaugh, 92, formerly of Blairstown, died Friday, March 29, 1985, at the Westwood Home in Clinton, where she had made her home for seven years. She was born September 18, 1892, near Garland in Henry County, the daughter of Henry and Jane Eli Malone. On May 17, 1913 she married William Elijah Middaugh. To this union were born six children, Frederick, Norville, William, Franklin, Leslie, and Louise. Mrs. Middaugh lived most of her life in Blairstown and Deepwater. She was a member of the Blairstown Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Leslie, of Kansas City, MO; and Franklin, of Peculiar; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and great-great granddaughter; two sisters-in-law; Mrs. Clara Rissell of Los Angeles, CA; and Mrs. Lula Crooks of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, on November 22, 1962; three sons, Frederick, Norville, and William, one daughter, Alma Louise Burke, 1 granddaughter, Carolyn K. Middaugh and 1 great-great granddaughter, Krystal Rose Middaugh. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 31, at the Ward Funeral Home in Chilhowee, with Pastor Lee Ward officiating. Carolyn McQuitty sang In The Garden: and Beyond The Sunset with Mrs. Cena Dunn at the organ. Pallbearers were grandsons, Billy, Tommy, Timmy, Chris and Billy Gene Middaugh and Robert McCale. Burial was in the Norris Cemetery near Urich. MIDDAUGH, William Junior 1919 - 1982 William Junior Middaugh, 62, Peculiar, died Sunday, June 1982, at Veterans Hospital in Kansas City. He was born Nov 7, 1919, in Henry County near Garland, and for many years he owned and operated the Riverside Resort at Warsaw, then moved to Peculiar. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Warsaw. Surviving are his wife, Betty, of the home; one son, William Eugene, of Springfield; one daughter, Mrs. Patsy Goodpasture, of Sedalia; one step-son and four step-daughters; his mother, Mrs. Belle Middaugh of Westwood in Clinton; two brothers, Leslie of Kansas City and Franklin B. (Tom) Middaugh of Peculiar; seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Ward Funeral Home in Chilhowee, with the Rev.
