MITCHELL OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== MITCHELL, Eldon E. abt 1928 - 2000 Kansas City Star, May 26 2000 - Eldon E. Mitchell, 72, Clinton, MO (formerly of Raytown, MO), passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at Warrensburg Manor Care Center, Warrensburg, MO. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 27, at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton; burial in Englewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. Friday at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Clinton Country Club and may be left at the funeral home. (Arrangements: Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, MO) MITCHELL, Fred D. 1910 - 1997 Fred D. Mitchell, 87, Windsor, died Monday afternoon, November 17, 1997, in an automobile accident in Sedalia. He was born March 21, 1910, in Koshkong, the son of Emery Thomas Mitchell and Maymie Ola (Dale) Mitchell. On June 5, 1933, in Conway, he married Lola Marie Pryor, who died with him in the accident. Mr. Mitchell worked at the International Shoe Factory in Windsor for several years before going to work at the oil fields in Illinois. He came back to Windsor and operated the Mobil bulk oil distributorship for 27 years. He also operated the Mobil Gasoline Station in Windsor for two years. He was a member of the Windsor United Methodist Church, the Windsor IOOF Lodge #187, the Windsor Masonic Lodge No. 29 A.F. & A.M., of which he received a 50-year membership award in 1995. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra K. and Phillip Fockler, Lee's Summit; two sons, Dwain L. Mitchell and h is wife, Robin, Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Ted L. Mitchell, Lee's Summit; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Woodrow Mitchell, Willow Springs, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 20, 2 p.m., at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. The family will receive friends one hour before the service and memorial contributions are suggested to the Windsor United Methodist Church Renovation Fund. MITCHELL, Mary Elizabeth JONES 1928 - 1992 Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Mitchell, 64, 723 NW Highway O, near Clinton, died at the Boone County Hospital in Columbia, Monday, October 19, 1992. - Mary Elizabeth Mitchell was born April 20, 1928 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence E. and Frances (Dozier) Jones. She passed away October 19, 1992 at the Boone County Hospital in Columbia, at the age of 64 years. Mrs. Mitchell was married to Floyd D. Mitchell, who preceded her in death in 1971. She was a school bus driver for fifteen years. She was activities director at the Sycamore View Nursing Home. She is survived by two sons, Floyd Mitchell, Clinton, and Kenneth Mitchell, Kansas City; four daughters, Joyce Miller, Girard, Ks., Mary Craig, Florida, Carolyn Rowlett, Calhoun, and Wanda Mitchell of the home. Also surviving are two brothers, Clarence Jones, Jr., Shawnee, Ks. and Lloyd Jones, Redlands, Ca.; thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Graveside services were at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 1992 at Maple Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, Ks., with Rev. Gary Hart officiating, under direction of Consalus Funeral Home. Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Mitchell, 64, 723 NW Highway O, near Clinton, died at the Boone County Hospital in Columbia, Monday, October 19, 1992. MITCHELL, Ruby LEAN 1917 - 1992 Mrs. Ruby Mitchell, 75, 511 East Grandriver Street, Clinton, died Monday, October 5, 1992 at Golden valley Hospital. Her husband, Floyd Mitchell, died in 1987. She is survived by nieces and nephews. She was a member of Bethel Methodist Church. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Englewood. There will be no visitation. Sickman-Dunning is in charge of arrangements. The Rev.
