NESTLERODE, Thomas C. abt 1912 - 2000

Kansas City Star, Mar 31 2000 - Thomas C. Nestlerode, 88, Clinton, MO, passed 
away Wednesday, March 29, 2000, at Clinton Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. 
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 1, at Vansant-Mills Chapel, 
Clinton; burial in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. The family will receive friends 
7-8 p.m. Friday at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Calhoun 
Baptist Church and may be left at the funeral home. Tom was born in Bates 
County, MO. On November 25, 1934, he married Nona Lee Hendricks of Ballard, MO. 
Tom & Nona enjoyed 65 years of marriage. They were blessed with one child, Lela 
Corlene Wilson. In 1946, they moved to Calhoun where he continued farming and 
also contracted the Calhoun School District's Transportation System. Tom was a 
member of the Calhoun Baptist Church where he continued to be an active 
supporter of the church until his death. Tom is survived by his wife, Nona of the 
home; a daughter, Lela Corlene Wilson & husband, Junior, Clinton, MO; two 
grandchildren, Carl Lee Wilson, Topeka, KS, and Cynthia Glasscock & husband, 
Tim, Clinton, MO; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; nieces, 
nephews and a host of friends.
