PAGE, Delania CHITWOOD 1831 - 1903

Clinton MO, May 9 1903 - Passed Away - Another one of God's sainted mothers 
has passed to the great beyond, there to wait the coming of her loved ones. Mrs. 
Delania Page, the oldest of a family of nine children, three of whom survivor her, 
two brothers and one sister, fell into that peaceful sleep at her home near 
Huntingdale May 2, 1903. She was born in Kentucky in 1831, her father, Daniel 
Chitwood, being one of the pioneers of Henry county. In 1841, she married Wm. 
Page and four children, all girls, blessed this happy union - Mesdames P. D. 
VanMatre, H. F. Miller, E. Mansfield and J. W. Hedtes. She has 13 grandchildren and 
7 great-grandchildren. She has been a widow for 47 years and with her four girls, 
for a number of years, did her own farming. forty years ago, she joined the 
Huntingdale Baptist Church. In 1879, she moved her membership to Urich, where 
she was a member until her death. She suffered an attack of pneumonia last 
January, which caused an infection of the heart and resulted in her sudden 
demise. She was in apparent good health the day of her death and was busy 
sewing when a spasm struck her heart and she was called to her Lord's summons. 
Uncle Dan McIntire conducted a song and prayer service at Carrsville Cemetery. 
Peace be to the soul of this noble and good woman.
