PATTON, Faye CREWS 1907 - 1996

Faye Crews Patton, 88, Springfield, formerly of Clinton and Kansas City, died 
Tuesday night, September 24, 1996, in her home. The daughter of Darrell D. and 
Erkie A. (Gilbert) Crews, she was born November 12, 1907, in Henry County. Mrs. 
Patton had attended Central Missouri State Teachers College, now CMSU, and 
Colorado State University at Greeley, Colorado, where she received her teachers 
degree. She had taught school in Missouri and Colorado. She later was employed 
as a secretary at Skelly Oil Co., now Texaco Oil Co. in Kansas City, for 20 years. 
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Clinton. She was preceded in 
death by her husband, Emmett B. Patton; her parents and a brother, Glenn Crews. 
She is survived by a niece, Glenda Keightley of Marshfield; several other nieces, 
nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a great-great niece. The body will be 
cremated under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home South, Springfield. 
Private family graveside services will be held at a later date.
