PETERMAN, Elizabeth Sara HANCOCK 1902 - 1979

Elizabeth Sara Peterman, 77, of Knob Noster, died July 12, 1979, at Windsor 
Hospital, Windsor, MO. Mrs. Peterman was born March 18, 1902, in Chilhowee, the 
daughter of Willie C. and Anna Moss (Stanley) Hancock. She married Charles E. 
Peterman August 14, 1928. He survives. Mrs. Peterman was a teacher for more 
than 30 years, primarily in the Knob Noster school system. She retired in 1969. 
She was a member of the First Christian Church. Other survivors include a 
daughter, Mrs. Helen Thurston of Knob Noster; a son, Cecil E. Peterman of Bowling 
Green, MO; a sister, Mrs. Willamene Hoffman of Tulare, CA, seven grandchildren 
and one great-grandchild. Services were at the church with burial in the Knob 
Noster Cemetery.
