PETTY OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== PETTY, David Jacob 1919 - 2000 Clinton Daily Democrat, Thurs, Jan 27 2000 - David Jacob Petty was born March 23, 1919, in Quarles, son of Homer and Edith Garrison Petty. He died January 5, 2000, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City. He attended Comer Grade School and Shawnee Mound High and was a member of the Quarles Baptist Church. He was with the United States Navy during World War II. He married Frances Aileen Cleek on June 29, 1938, at Shawnee Mound. They had lived in Clinton since 1982 moving here from Booneville where he owned and operated a laundry and dry cleaning business. He is survived by his wife, Frances, of the home; two brothers, Lyle Petty, Kansas City, and Leo Petty, Hamden, Ohio, and one sister, Dorothy Jean Meade, Lee's Summit. Funeral services were held January 10, 2000, at the Consalus Chapel, Clinton, with Rev. Bill Ritchie officiating. Scott Brooks was organist and Candace Fowler, soloist. Music was "Eternal Father Strong To Save" and "The Lord's Prayer".
