PHEIL OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== PHEIL, Effie S. BUTTON 1873 - 1928 Death has again entered our midst and taken from us a loving wife and mother. Effie Button Pheil, daughter of Edward T. and Mary E. Button, was born July 30, 1873, near Concord, Callaway county, Mo. When about seven years of age her family moved to Henry county. Then in young womanhood she moved with her family to Boone county. She was united in marriage to William O. Pheil near Centralia, Missouri, December 13, 1888. They moved to Henry county just south of Calhoun. To this union eight children were born. One son dying in infancy. The other seven with the beloved husband and one brother are left to mourn their great loss. the children are: Mary, now Mrs. J. W. Bradley of Calhoun; Ernest and Ada, now Mrs. Herman Tubbesing of Clinton; Isaac, Laura, Gordon and Louise who are still at home. She united with the Presbyterian church in Calhoun, August 30, 1908, and since that time there has been no truer Christian. She has always tried to live so as to meet her Savior in Heaven. She always told the children to live so as to meet her in heaven. She was a kind and loving mother, a companion and a true friend. To know her was to love her. She was always the happiest when she could do something for others. She was also a member of the royal Neighbors lodge. Mrs. Pheil had been in very poor health for over a year. She fell gently asleep in Jesus at her home just south of Calhoun, Wednesday, April 4, 1928 at 4:30 p.m., being 54 years, 8 months, and 4 days of age. The funeral service was conducted at 2:30 at the Presbyterian church by Rev. Frazier of Walker assisted by Rev. Holland and Rev. Faulkner of the Calhoun Methodist and Baptist churches.
