PRUESSNER OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== PRUESSNER, Alvin W. Rev. 1918 - 1996 Rev. Alvin W. (A. W.) Pruessner, 77, died at his home in Hamilton Tuesday, May 21 He was born in Lincoln, Oct 19, 1918. He and his wife moved to Hamilton in 1965 from Elm Springs. He was a Baptist minister for 40 years. He pastored Harmony, Quarles, Tebo and Elm Springs Baptist churches. He was a pastor of the Hamilton First Baptist Church for 15 years when he retired. He served with the US Navy in World War II from 1942 to 1945. He married the former Virginia Houts Oct 28, 1942, in Independence. They had been married 53 years. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, May 25, at Hamilton First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Hamilton. Visitation at Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. PRUESSNER, Margie Elma SELL 1923 - 2000 Clinton Daily Democrat Feb 3 2000 - Margie Elma Pruessner was born August 5, 1923, in Henry County, daughter of Hobart and Ora Lawler Sell. She died Tuesday, January 25, 2000, at North Kansas City Hospital. She grew up in Henry County and accepted Christ as her Savior in her early life and has always been active in the church. She played the piano, organ and French horn in high school. She graduated from Coal High School. She worked as a payroll supervisor for 30 years at Traders National Bank in Kansas City. She sang in trios, quartets and choirs. She loved to entertain with her family as well as travel and visit with relatives. She was a very dedicated family person who enjoyed life. She rejoiced in the event of new births. She and Oscar constantly received pictures of new babies born to nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Survivors include her husband, Oscar of the home; two sons, Derrel Lynn Pruessner, of the home, and John Keith Pruessner and wife, Diane, Fredericksburg, son, Jonathon L. H. Pruessner, Lubbock, Texas; step- mother, Norma Sell Chastain, Clinton; brother Derrell Sell, Kansas City, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service was held at Winnwood Baptist Church, Kansas City, on Thursday, January 27, 9 a.m. Funeral services were held the same day at 2:30 p.m. at Consalus Chapel, Clinton, with Dr. Douglas W. Crabb officiating. Scott Brooks was at the organ and Candace Fowler sang "Beyond The Sunset" and "How Great Thou Art". Burial was in Englewood Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the Winnwood Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society. They may be left in care of the funeral home. PRUESSNER, Paul 1923 - 2000 Kansas City Star, Jan 8 2000 - Paul Pruessner, 76, Clinton, MO, died Friday, January 7, 2000, at Golden Valley Hospital. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 10, at the Consalus Funeral Chapel, Clinton; burial will be in Parks Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. The family suggests memorials to the Parks Chapel Cemetery Association .Paul was born in Leesville on March 19, 1923, the son of Oscar and Violet Puckett Pruessner. Preceding him in death were his wife, Dorothy and two brothers, Wayne and Bill Pruessner.
