PULLEN OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== PULLEN, Craig Alan 1952 - 1991 Craig A. Pullen of goose Creek, S.C., the son of Gilbert and Frances Parker Pullen, was born August 24, 1952, in Clinton. He passed away October 12, 1991, at the V. A. Medical Center in Charleston, S.C., at the age of 39. He grew up in Urich and attended grade school there. He completed junior high and high school at Sherwood, near Creighton. He professed his faith in Christ at an early age, being baptized and united with the Urich Baptist Church. He later transferred his membership to the Northbridge Baptist Church in Charleston, S.C. He was a member of Goose Creek Masonic Lodge #401 and also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa fraternity. He served as president and southeast regional president of the organization. He has been honored by having an annual scholarship granted in his name at Trident Technical College of Charleston. He was united in marriage to Kathleen Kennedy Morris July 28, 1977. They spent most of their married life in Charleston, S.C., area, with the exception of three years in Satellite Beach, Florida, when he was stationed in Cape Canaveral. He served aboard the S.S.B.N. submarines Frances Scott Key, the Woodrow Wilson and the Casimer Polaski. He served at the Naval Ordinance Test Unit at Cape Canaveral, the USS Holland Submarine Tender and spent two years attending college under the enlisted Education Advancement Program where he earned an Associates Degree and was continuing classes at Limestone College. His last tour of duty was with the Polaris Missile Facility Atlantic at Charleston. He was retired on September 27, 1991. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 1991, at the Urich Baptist Church. Reverend Steve Lindsey and Reverend J. R. Duncan officiated. Organist was Mary Ellen Jenkins. Pallbearers were Randy Shroder, Keith Vogt, Randy Vogt, Dwight Stewart, George Wade and David Doll.
