REICH OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== REICH, Marcile KEMPER 1911 - 2000 Kansas City Star, Feb 17 2000 - Marcile Kemper Reich, 88, Independence, MO, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2000, at home. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday, February 18, at the First Baptist Church of Kansas City, 100 W. Red Bridge Rd., Kansas City, MO; burial in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the First Baptist Church of Kansas City or the KU Endowment Association for the Center on Aging, the William Reich Fund, 3901 Rainbow, Kansas City, KS, 66160-7804. Mrs. Reich was born in Cement, OK, on December 14, 1911, the eldest of two daughters of Jess and Della Kemper. She was raised in Clinton, MO, and earned a degree in music from William Woods College in Fulton, MO. She married William H. Reich on June 4, 1932. They were members of Leeds Baptist Church, where Mrs. Reich was the organist, and later joined the First Baptist Church of Kansas City. She was also a member of the Kansas City Young Matrons and the Woman's City Club. Mrs. Reich was preceded in death by her husband; and one sister, Marjorie Kemper Snare. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Marie Esry and Carolyn Marcile Weir, both of Independence, MO; two sons-in-law, Carroll D. Esry and Dr. Robert K. Weir; six grandchildren and their spouses, William Carroll Esry, and his wife, Jill, David Reich Esry, and his wife, Nancy, Marcie Esry Anderson, Thomas Reich Weir, and his wife, Eileen, Susan Weir Carter, and her husband, Geoffrey, and William Newton Weir, and his wife, Stacey; and six great-grandchildren, Michael David Esry, Ellis Marcile Esry, Jordan Marie Esry, Kiley Elisabeth Weir, Lauren Elizabeth Esry, and Carolyn Ann Carter.
