ROBERTSON OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== ROBERTSON, Victor Woods 1890 - 1962 Last rites for Victor Woods Robertson, who died at 9:40 Monday, Sept 17, 1962, at Clinton General Hospital, were held Sept 20, at Quarles Baptist Church. Mrs. Harless Tillman accompanied a quartet, Mrs. Charles Powers, Mrs. Dwight Cameron, Luther Hutcherson and Eugene Consalus. Pallbearers were Phil Rentchler, Joe Kithcart, Forest Kimball, Claude Inloes, Emmett Arnold and J. B. Allen. Interment was in Englewood Cemetery. Vic , as he was popularly known, was born April 3, 1890, in Henry County, the second son of John David and Mary Lou Franklin Robertson. He received his elementary education east of Clinton at Star school. At the age of 13 years he worked in Clinton as a grocery delivery boy for the late Ben Rentchler, later helping in the store. On March 9, 1912, he married Beulah Hughes. To this union three sons were born: John, Lee, and Paul. Mrs. Robertson preceded him in death July 9, 1925. Since the sons were quite young Mr. Robertson's role became double for he served as a mother as well as a father. He continued to farm and on March 1, 1936, married a neighborhood girl, Miss Estella Wolf. They started housekeeping on her father's adjoining farm which remained his home until death.
