RODGERS OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== RODGERS, Jack C. 1918 - 1997 Jack C. Rodgers died Saturday, Feb 8, 1997, at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton. He was born April 16, 1918, in Chilhowee, son of Odessa and Martha Christian Rodgers. On Nov 24, 1937, in Leeton, he married Ethel Marie Cramer, who died Feb 25, 1977. Mr. Rodgers grew up in Henry County. Following his marriage, he made his home on a farm in the Shawnee community, north of Clinton. In 1964, he moved to Warsaw. Prior to the completion of the Truman Lake project, an archeological dig on Mr. Rodgers’ farm uncovered many prehistoric Indian relics and artifacts. Mr. Rodgers is now honored with a display at the Truman Overlook at the Truman Dam. He returned to Leeton in 1990. Survivors include two sons, Jerry D. Rodgers, Belton; John t. Rodgers, Kansas City; a daughter, Mary L. Laughlin, Cole Camp; five grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
