ROGERS OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== ROGERS, Donald Maurice 1947 - 1992 Donald Maurice Rogers was born October 19, 1947 in Clinton, the son of Maurice A. Rogers and Wilma K. (Irvine) Rogers. He passed away in Branson, July 31, 1992, at the age of 44. His family lived in Deepwater for a short time and then moved east of Clinton. Don attended high school in Windsor and graduated from Clinton High School in 1965. Don was married to Debbie Thompson on July 25, 1986. They made their home at Sky Village Resort, south of Clinton. Don and Debbie spent many happy hours visiting with their friends at Truman lake, where they enjoyed boating. Don worked for Parks Automotive prior to being employed by United Parcel Service. He has been with United Parcel for the past fourteen years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge of Clinton, and a member of the Clinton Christian Church. He was also treasurer of the Sky Village Lot Owners Association. Don is survived by his wife, Debbie of the home; a sister, Linda D. Eidson of Windsor; his Aunt Bonnie Dunlap of Montrose; a niece and nephew, Leanne and Lynn Eidson of Windsor, and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 3, 1992 at Consalus Chapel with Rev. Don Eaton officiating. Music was How Great Thou Art and Amazing Grace with Don Eaton, soloist and Helen Shrout, organist. Pallbearers were Ben Delgado, Jr., Perry Bartlett, John Cook, Jim Journey, Mike Rucker, Bob Phillips. Burial was in Englewood Cemetery. ROGERS, Hardin D. 1845 - 1913 Montrose Recorder, Montrose, Henry Co, MO, Friday, Feb 7 1913 - Hardin D. Rogers was born in McGaupin Co., Ill. March 10th, 1845 was married to Eliza Williamson Jan. 26th, 1870 who preceded to the world of spirits seven years minus 8 days. To this union three children were born viz., Mrs. Ollie A. Parker and Boose Rogers of Montrose, Mo., Manford S. Rogers of Denver, Colo. all of which survive him and were permitted to be present during the recent illness and funeral of their dear father, whose death occurred Jan. 31st, 1913, being at this time 67 years, 10 months and 21 days old. He was converted and joined the M. E. Church South at Teays Chapel Aug. 19, 1884 under the ministry of J. F. Hogan and remained a faithful member of the same until God transferred him to the Church Triumphant. Funeral services were held at his home church (Teays) Feb. 2nd conducted by his pastor J. K. Speer of Montrose. Farewell Father!
