ROMDALL OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== ROMDALL, Hyalmer 1858 - 1934 Hyalmer Romdall Dead. Hyalmar Romdall was born in Stockholm, Sweden, January 7, 1858. He came to St. Louis, Mo. when seven years of age. Then a little later to Washington, Mo. When a young man he moved to Henry County and was married to Cordelia Frances Settles on December 11, 1881. To this union were born six children, five boys and one girl, as follows: Norval E. Romdall, Appleton City, Mo.; Locke O. Romdall, Mexico, Mo.; Clarence D. Romdall, Shawnee Mound, Mo.; Porter L. Romdall, Montrose, Mo.; Ray Romdall, deceased and Mrs. J. P. Huffman of the home. He departed this life, September 30, 1934 at the age of 76 years, 8 months and 23 days. He was a man of strong will power, kind and considerate of others, keeping his troubles always to himself. He was a great reader of good literature and had a wonderful memory for recalling dates of history. About 48 years ago he professed faith in Christ, was Baptized and united with the Christian Church at LaDue, Mo. Due to an over sight these facts about his taste for good books and his profession of faith, baptism, and uniting with the LaDue Christian Church were not in the obituary read at the church, but this revision is due to information given since the funeral by relatives of the family. The funeral was conducted at Stones Chapel Church by Rev. C. E. Nickerson, pastor M.
