ROTHGEB OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== ROTHGEB, Lester 1910 - 1992 Lester Rothgeb of Clinton was born June 23, 1910, at Mt. Zion, Henry County, to J. Wesley Rothgeb and Rose Foster Rothgeb. He died at Golden Valley Hospital in Clinton on February 23, 1992. He lived in Missouri his entire life. He attended schools in the Brownington and Deepwater area. In the 1930's his family moved to Clay, Ray and Jackson counties where they resided until they returned to Henry County in the late 1950's. In his early childhood, his father was killed in an accident. His sister, Fern, a half-brother, Herschel, his mother and step-father, Albert Amos, also preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, Kenneth Eugene Rothgeb; a grandson, Larry Eugene Rothgeb, Deepwater; a half-brother, Floyd Amos, Davenport, Iowa; a half-sister, Velva, Joplin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Although he no longer attended church regularly as he did in his early years, he continued to live life as a Christian. He was an honest, loyal and faithful member of any community in which he lived. In his later years, as his health declined, he was cared for through the kindness and generosity of Mrs. Beulah Green. - (Another Report) Lester Rothgeb, 81, route two, Clinton, died Sunday, February 23, 1992 at Golden Valley Hospital. He is survived by a son, Kenneth Rothgeb of Deepwater; a half-brother Floyd Ames of Davenport, Iowa; one grandson. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Mr. Rothgeb was a native of Henry County and the son of West Rothgeb and his mother was Rose Foster Rothgeb. He lived in the Deepwater and Brownington areas much of his live.
