RUSH OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== RUSH, Billy Joe 1937 - 1980 Billy Joe Rush, 42, of Chilhowee, Mo., passed away Saturday morning, March 1,1980, Memorial Hospital in Clinton, Mo. He was born December 1, 1937 at Blairstown, the son of Orvil Robert and Mildred Marie Terry Rush.He was united in marriage with Carol Belew on July 3, 1960 at Kansas City, Mo. He was a lifelong resident of Henry and Johnson counties. He was the owner and operator of the A & R CB Sales and Service in Chilhowee for several years before moving to Clinton in August of 1979. Surviving him are his wife, Carol , of the home; two sons, Billy Dale Rush and his wife, Diane of Clinton, and Jeff Rush of the home; two brothers Junior R. Rush, Kansas City, and Robert B. Rush, Lee's Summit; two sisters, Mrs. Peggy Loun, Kansas City, Kansas and Mrs. Haden (Catherine) Claxton of Kansas City; and his mother of Mildred Marie Rush of Blairstown, Mo. He was preceded in death by his father on January 21, 1980. Funeral services were held Monday March 3, 1980 at the Ward Funeral Home in Chilhowee. Mrs. Debbie Anstine sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and " Take my Hand, Precious Lord". with Mrs. Mary Ellen Jenkins at the organ . Pastor Lee Ward officiated at the service , with burial in the Carpenter Cemetery near Chilhowee. Pallbearers were Howard Norvell, Raymond Greene, Doug Wilson, J.D. Willcockson, Don Atkinson and John Engel. RUSH, Junior Robert abt 1926 - 1994 Junior Robert Rush, 68, of Kansas City, formerly of Osceola, died Sunday, January 2, 1994 at Vencor in Kansas City. Survivors include his wife, Wilma Faye of the home; two sons, Dennis W. Rush, Farley, Mo., Michael L. Rush, Weatherby Lake, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Elaine Tooley, South Kansas City; two sisters, Verna Lee (Peggy) Loun, Kansas City, Ks., Catherine (Katy) Claxton, Kansas City; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday,l January 4, 1994 at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home in Kansas City. Burial will be in Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Overland Park, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, January 3, at the funeral home. RUSH, Mildred Marie TERRY 1908 - 1992 Mildred Marie Rush, 83, Blairstown, died September 22, 1992, at the home of her daughter, Katy Claxton. She was born December 9, 1908, in Osceola, daughter of Samuel and Rachel Terry. She married Orvil Robert Rush on July 25, 1924, in Osceola. She lived in Blairstown and was employed as a cook at the Blairstown School for many years. Survivors include one son, Junior Rush of Kansas City; two daughters, Katy Claxton of North Kansas City, Peggy Loun of Kansas City, Kansas; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; one sister, Marguerite Finter of Windsor. She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Robert and Billy Joe Rush. Funeral services were 10 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 1992, Consalus Chapel, Chilhowee. Officiating was Pastor Lee Ward. Musical selections were "The Lord's Prayer" and "Take My Hand, Precious Lord". Pallbearers were Dennis Rush, Jeffrey Rush, Kenneth Rush, Michael Rush, Orval Rush, Larry Rawson, Dale Rush and Robert Claxton. Honorary pallbearers were Andy Claxton and Rick Claxton. Burial was in Carpenter Cemetery, Johnson County. RUSH, Orvil Robert 1903 - 1980 Orvil Robert Rush, 76, of Blairstown, passed away Monday morning, January 21, 1980, at Golden Valley Memorial in Clinton. He was born February 1, 1903 at Osceola, Mo., the son of Daniel Webster and Mary Frances (Barbour) Rush. He was united in marriage with Mildred Marie Terry on July 25, 1924 at Osceola, Mo. He was a resident of Blairstown, Mo. for more than 44 years. He retired as an assistant section foreman for the Frisco Railroad in 1965 after more than 40 years of service. Surviving him is his wife of the home in Blairstown; three sons, Junior R. Rush, Kansas City Mo., Robert B. Rush , Lee's Summit, and Billy Joe Rush of Chilhowee; two daughters, Mrs. Peggy Loun, Kansas City, Kansas , and Mrs. Haden (Catherine) Claxton, Kansas City, Mo. one sister, Mrs. Sarah Bullock, Hawthorne, California; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held January 23, at the Ward Funeral Home in Chilhowee, with Pastor Lee Ward officiating. Burial was in Carpenter Cemetery near Chilhowee. Pallbearers were grandsons, Dennis and Michael Rush; Orval R. and Kenneth W. Rush; Andy and Robert Claxton; Dale and Jeff Rush; and Larry Rawson. RUSH, Richard Eugene abt 1948 - 1970 Richard Eugene Rush, 22, of 8134 Summit, Kansas City, Mo. died June 23, 1970 at the home. Mr. Rush was a lifelong area resident. He was a Lithographer for Commercial Lithographing and Printing Company. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of Holmeswood Baptist Church. He leaves his wife, Dorothy Elaine (Houston) Rush; two sons, David Anthony Rush and Todd Elliott Rush all of the home; his parents Junior R. and Wilma Faye (Dennis) Rush; two brothers, Dennis Wayne Rush and Michael Lee Rush all of 8404 Kenwood , Kansas City, Mo; the paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Orval R. Rush of Blairstown, Mo; the maternal grandmother Mrs. Ruth Dennis Gregg of Urich, Mo. Services were at the Muehlebach Chapel; burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearer; Jerry Lee Hicks, Michael F. Houston, Robert L. Herron, Robert L. Semke, William T.
