SCHILLING OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== SCHILLING, Christopher Martin 1973 - 1999 Clinton Daily Democrat Nov 22 1999 - Christopher Martin Schilling of Montrose was born October 25, 1973, in Kansas City, the son of Franz Josef and Cecelia Marie (McKenzie) Schilling. He departed this life Sunday, November 14, 1999, near Harrisonville, at the age of 26 years and 19 days. On April 16, 1994, Christopher was united in marriage to Melinda Dawn Thompson at Grandview. Christopher was employed as a heavy equipment operator for the Operating Engineers Union Local #101, Platte City, and earlier was employed as a truck driver for Limpus Quarries, Harrisonville. He attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville, and was a member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association and the VFW Post #8820, Montrose. Christopher was a 1993 graduate of the Ballard High School and had lived in Ballard and East Lynne before moving to Montrose in 1999. He is survived by his wife, Melinda D. Schilling and a daughter, Kelsee Schilling, both of the home; his parents, Franz and Cecelia Schilling, Montrose; a brother, Frank J. Schilling, Archie; four sisters, Katrina Schilling, Clinton, Mary Koch, Montrose, Catherine Smith, Kansas City, and Natasha Schilling, Adrian; paternal grandparents, Frank and Hilda Schilling, Kansas City; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Betty McKenzie, Adrian, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 17, at 2:30 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville, with Rev. Bradley S. Offutt officiating with burial in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Ron Strong, soloist, sang "Ave Maria" and "On Eagles Wings", accompanied by Cindy Dunham, organist. Pallbearers were Mike Burns, Dustin Hammond, Matt Koch, Frank J. Schilling, Brett Thompson and Kurt Thompson. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Christopher M. Schilling Trust, c/o North American Savings Bank, 2002 E. Mechanic, Harrisonville, MO 64701.
