SEXTON OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== SEXTON, Ida KING 1887 - 1979 Ida Sexton was born April 25, 1887 near Quincy, MO, the daughter of Columbus and Mary Smith King. She died in August 1979, in Garden City, MO at the age of 92 years. She married D. Earl Sexton March 10, 1912 and they had three daughters and one son. She lived 42 years of her married life in Creighton, acting for a number of years as a substitute mail carrier for her husband. During WW II, she worked in a defense plant, commuting from Creighton to Kansas City. In 1966 she moved to Garden City. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Cleo, and son, Jack. She is survived by daughters, Mrs. Pauline Rupe of Clinton and Mrs. Cleona McMichael of Tucson, AZ; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Hurt of Adrian and Mrs. Bernice Griter of Leawood, KS.
