SHADWICK, Roland LeRoy 1940 - 1999

Clinton Daily Democrat July 23 1999 - Roland LeRoy Shadwick, 58, Liberty, died 
Friday, July 16, 1999, at Liberty Hospital. He was born in Kansas City on 
December 18, 1940. He graduated form East High School in Kansas City in 1958. 
He was a barber in the Kansas City area for many years. He was preceded in death 
by his father, Thomas F. Shadwick. He is survived by his wife, Cora Delores 
Shadwick of the home; a daughter, Sherri Dee Varela, Azie, Texas; a son Russell 
Lee Shadwick, Harrisonville; one granddaughter, Crystal Schleifer, and one 
grandson, Derick Varela. He is also survived by his mother, Anna Bell Shadwick, 
Kansas City; one brother, Ronald Shadwick, Clinton, and four sisters, Ellen 
Prather, Miami, Florida, Shirley Thursby, Richmond, Beverly Kulick, Oak Grove, 
and Cheryl Phillips, Madison, Indiana. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. 
Funeral services were held July 19 at D. W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel 
in Raytown. Dr. Ralph A. Nite, Sr. from Centropolis Baptist Church in Kansas City 
was the officiant. Burial was in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorial 
contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
