SHOE OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== SHOE, Carl Dow 1910 - 1995 Carl Dow Shoe, 85, Sedalia, died Sunday, June 11, 1995, at his home. He was born May 8, 1910, in Clinton, son of William E. and Katherine Coffman Shoe. On January 26, 1930, in Clinton, he married Clayta Keyes, who survives of the home. Mr. Shoe was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church, trustee of the church, United Commercial Travelers and had a bowling league named after him, Carl Shoe Bowling League. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1928. He worked for Howard Construction Company as a company representative and salesman for 38 years, retiring in July of 1992. He had lived in Sedalia for 55 years. Survivors include a son, Forest W. Shoe, Columbia; four daughters, Marilyn Ward, Holt, Shirley J. McClary, League City, Texas, Doris Gilliland, Joplin, Margaret Stratton, Crown Point, Indiana; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a great- great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 .m. Wednesday, June 14, at the Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, Sedalia, with the Reverends Richard Seaton and Bob Ewens officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Wynne Jennings, Ryan Kelley, Bob Ward, Mark Hart, Larry Ward, Ross Herman, Dale Moon, Larry Shoe, Troy Ives, Eddie Johnson and George Stevens. Honorary bearers will be Bill Burns, O'Donel Burns, Clarence Friedly, John Friedly, Gale Hall, Olen Howard and Harry Small, Earl Winston and Eddie Wise. Burial will be in Englewood Cemetery in Clinton. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral.
