SPITZER OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== SPITZER, Jesse abt 1855 - 1924 Jesse Spitzer, the Huntingdale merchant, dropped dead in the door of Gaines store about 7 p.m. Saturday evening. He and his brother, A. A. Spitzer, had driven from Huntingdale to near Gaines to look after some stock. They ran out of gasoline and walked on to the farm, then over to the store to get gasoline and call home to say they had arrived safely. Jast as they got to the door Mr. Spitzer dropped dead. For some time he had been suffering with hardening of the arteries. It is thought the over exertion caused the end to come so quickly. Mr. Spitzer was 69 years old and is survived by his widow, Mrs. Kate Spitzer; his daughter, Mrs. Eva Maden, at Boyse City, Oklahoma, and one brother, A. A. Spitzer, of Kansas City. Deceased had been in the mercantile business in Huntingdale about 25 years and was a member of the M. W. A. He was a sueful and upright citizen, good and kind to all about him.
