STIMPSON OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== STIMPSON, Shirley Gloria ROBINETTE 1929 - 1993 Mrs. Shirley Gloria Stimpson, 63, Leeton, died Wednesday, January 6, 1993, at her home. - Mrs. Shirley Gloria Stimpson was born in Minneapolis, Mn. on November 29, 1929. She grew up in Isle, Mn. for some years but most of her youth was in Minneapolis. She married Don on August 19, 1950. she had six children, four surviving. They lived in Brooklyn Park for 30 years before moving to Leeton to retire. Shirley was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend to all who knew her. She was very honest. If given too much change at a store she would make a special trip back to return it. She had a great sense of humor. As a mother she was always there when needed. She looked past faults and still gave unconditional love. She always put family needs first. She always found good in everyone. She loved Jesus Christ and Mother Mary above all. She loved to play the organ. She liked all types of music except hard rock and rap. She loved all types of crafts, especially cross stitching. She loved to do gardening, both flowers and vegetable. She loved to plant trees and shrubs everywhere. She loved nature and wildlife, especially birds. Her back yard is full of bird feeders of all types. She loved to travel which was good considering that she drove a truck all over the country with her husband Don. She loved to play Scrabble and do crossword puzzles. She loved to put together jigsaw puzzles. She loved Wheel of Fortune. She was just an all around beautiful person both inside and out and she will be missed very much by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband Don of the home; three sons, Bruce D. Stimpson, Elk River, Mn., Michael J. Stimpson, Roseville, Mn., Kevin J. Stimpson, Shoreview, Mn.; one daughter, Mary E. Stimpson, Shoreview, Mn.; one brother, James D. Robinette, Bedford, Tx.; five sisters, Marion Mulcahy, Lorraine Powers, Joann Robinette and Eleen Johnson, all of Minneapolis, Mn., and Loretta Hanson of Chillcote, Ca.; three grandchildren and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jerome Robinette. Funeral services were at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Saturday, January 9, 1993, at 11 a.m., with Father Jerry Wegenek officiating. How Great Thou Art and In The Garden were sung by David L. Mills and Peggy Arthur with Mrs. Arthur playing the organ. Pallbearers were Danny Stimpson, Delbert Stimpson, Thomas McFetters, Jim Pachmayr, Morris Sprung, and Barry Blesi.
