STOCKTON OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== STOCKTON, Willie 1872 - 1898 Clinton MO, Aug 20 1898 - Willie Stockton, who lived south of town, died on the 2nd with throat troubles. Born in Gentry County August 20, 1872. He has been afflicted for about six months and almost lost his voice. He didn't feel too well the morning he planned to leave on a trip to Kansas, tho he ate heartily of some tomatoes his mother had prepared especially for him. About two o'clock he took a pain in his side while bathing his feed and his mother laid him on the bed. He died in about an hour. He made a profession of religion and wanted to be baptized before making the trip. Leaves a loving mother and brother.
