SWART, Grady Lee 1890 - 1982

Grady Lee Swart was born May 4, 1890 on the farm near Norris where he made his 
lifelong home. He was one of three children born to W. S. Swart and Julia Ann 
Ross Swart. He passed away at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, 
May 27, 1982 at the age of 92 years. He attended grade and high school in Norris 
and later graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia. He was married 
to Vestina Dunn in 1917. She preceded him in death in 1951. On October 11, 1956, 
he was married to Inez Hendrick, who now survives. He was preceded in death by 
two sisters, Mrs. Verlie Beaty and Eliza Kate Swart. Funeral services were May 
29 at Consalus Chapel. Burial was in Englewood Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Paul 
McIntire, Jack Swaggart, Lewis Beaty, Harold Eversole, Joe Wiseman and Mike 
Beaty.
