TALLEY OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== TALLEY, Alpha Omega 1899 - 1992 Alpha Omega Talley, 93, of Springfield, passed away October 12, 1992 at St. John's Mercy Villa in Springfield after a lengthy period of declining health. He was born at Deepwater, May 27, 1899, the son of Andy and Nancy Talley. Alpha, or "A. O." as he was affectionately known, grew up in the Deepwater community and attended Deepwater schools. When he was a young man he went to Kansas City. After working there for a time he became a salesman for Sunshine Biscuit Company in 1921. He was assigned to the Springfield area and was promoted to sales manager in 1939. He retired in 1964 after 43 years of service with the company. Alpha Talley was married August 20, 1927 to Audra E. Snyder of the Mt. Zion community. They established their home in Springfield and lived there the rest of their lives. Audra passed away May 16, 1991. "Talley" felt this loss deeply and often reminisced about their many happy years together. Audra and Talley were favorites with their nieces and nephews. "Talley" with his ready wit and sense of humor was always popular with all who knew him. Mr. Talley was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, having received his fifty year pin in 1970. He was also a member of the Ararat Shrine Club. Survivors include two sisters, Una Morris and Ruth Smith of Clinton, nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Friday, October 16, 1992 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, with rev. Jim Sunderwirth officiating. Music was by Rev. Jim Sunderwirth, vocalist, and Mrs. Gail Friend, accompanist. Pallbearers were John Cantrell, garland Edwards, Lester Rufenacht, Ron Hamblin, Dean Rufenacht, Lowell Jones. Burial was in Mt.
