TAYLOR OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== TAYLOR, Evelyn M. TRIBBLE 1917 - 1992 Mrs. Evelyn M. Taylor, 74, formerly of Henry County, died Tuesday, October 27, 1992 at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Englewood in Clinton. Mrs. Taylor was born November 9, 1917 in Henry County, the daughter of Thomas M. and Hattie R. Whitchurch Tribble. She is survived by one son, William L. Taylor of St. Charles. TAYLOR, Frank 1835 - 1885 Clinton MO, Dec 16 1885 - Out about three miles from Windsor, on Thursday morning, Dec. 24, 1885, Frank Taylor, a well-to-do farmer, became tired of living and took a dose of morphine. His family relations, so far as is known, were pleasant, with good financial standing. Some little time after taking the poison, he called his son in and told him what he had done. A doctor and neighbors were called but assistance was of no avail and at nine o'clock in the evening, he died. TAYLOR, John R. n/a - 1992 John R. Taylor, infant son of Susan Taylor, died Saturday, August 8, 1992 at Golden Valley Hospital. Arrangements are pending at Consalus. TAYLOR, Mary T. DOYLE 1833 - 1902 Clinton MO, May 3 1902 - As the shades of night were falling Sunday evening, April 27, 1902, the death angel entered the home of Oba Taylor at the end of South Main Street and, bidding his beloved companion "come," wafted her spirit to the beautiful realms above. She was taken very suddenly ill on Wednesday with pleuro-pneumonia, her sufferings being intense. Her maiden name was Miss Mary Doyle. She was born in White County, Tenn. November 15, 1833. Here she was raised to womanhood and married Oba Taylor and made a loving and faithful helpmate for almost 52 years. Two children, one dying in infancy, and Mrs. Clinton Clenny, now living in Kansas City. In 1884 they came to Clinton where they lived 6 years, then bought a farm near Calhoun, living there until the 15th of last January, when they sold their farm and moved back to Clinton. She was a sister of Joe and Wm. Doyle and leaves, besides the aged companion and daughter, two brothers, George and Dr. Henry Doyle of Colorado and one grandson, Leslie Clenny of Olathe, Kansas. TAYLOR, Oba 1823 - 1903 The body of Mr. Obe Taylor was brought to Calhoun from Kansas City Tuesday evening and laid to rest in the Calhoun cemetery. Rev. H. S. Thornhill conducting the service. Mr. Taylor was a highly respected citizen of Henry county, where he had lived for more than twenty years. He died March 30 1903, at the home of his grandson, Leslie Clenny, in Kansas City. Was born February 14, 1823, in White county, Tennessee. He leaves one only surviving child, Mrs. Clinton Clenny, of Kansas City. His wife, Mrs. Mary Taylor, preceded him to the other shore eleven months and three days. - Clinton MO, Apr 11 1903 - Oba Taylor, dec'd, was born in White County, Tenn. Feb 14, 1823 and died in Kansas City March 30, 1903. He was more than 80 at the time of his death. He married when 28 to Miss Mary Doyle, daughter of Harvey Doyle of White county, Tenn. and sister of William and Joseph A. Doyle, both deceased, of Henry county. He was engaged in farming all his life, conducting that business near the town of Doyle, Tenn. until 1884 when he moved to Clinton and soon after bought and moved to the Mortemore Hukill farm near Calhoun, where he lived till last year. He then moved to Clinton, where his wife died April 27, a little more than 11 months prior to his own death. Since then he has made his home with his only child, Mrs. Lizzie Clenny, of Kansas City. Buried at the Calhoun cemetery by the side of his wife.
