THOMPSON OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== THOMPSON, Earl 1901 - 1903 Little Earl, the infant son of Wm. and Lucy Thompson died Monday night, July 20, aged 2 years, 5 months and 7 days. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Alonzo Patison at Stone's chapel, Tuesday, evening, July 21, 1903 at 4 o'clock p.m. The little fellow had been in the world long enough to entwine himself around the hearts of his parents and relatives when God plucked him, like the bright flower he was, to become a jewel in his crown. Let us say to the bereaved ones, "Earl is not dead but sleepeth. Weep not for he has passed away from toils and care to where, in a few short years, we must pass. We know it is sad to part from one so young and fair, but do not weep, Earl is now waiting to welcome you where there will be no parting. "Be ye therefore ready for ye know not at what hour the Son of God cometh." Dear father and mother, Earl cannot be with you here, you cannot hear his sweet voice of the pattering of his little feet through the house; he has gone to his Heavenly Father, and may it be said to you when done with this earth "Come up higher; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many."
