THORNBURG, Betty Joan HIXSON 1943 - 1992

Betty Joan Thornburg was born August 10, 1943 in Kansas City, the daughter of 
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hixson. She passed away October 11, 1992 at Golden Valley 
Hospital at the age of 49 years, 2 months and 1 day. She was married to Connie W. 
Thornburg on October 1982 in Warsaw. She worked as a plastic molder for Rival 
Manufacturing Co. in Clinton. She is survived by her husband, Connie, of the home; 
two sons, William Hixson of Clinton, and John C. Thornburg of the home; two 
step-sons, Curtis Thornburg of Tightwad, Chris Thornburg of O'Fallon; three step-
daughters, Lisa Menzer of Claflin, Ks., Cyndi Delp of Holsington, Ks., and Lori 
Krom, Washington; two brothers, Raymond Hixson, DeSoto, Ks., Vesty E. Hixson, 
Blackwater; one half-brother, Billy Lee Colston, Charleston, N.C.; one sister, 
Sharon Kay Welliver, Wichita, Ks.; one half-sister, Rosemary Clay, DeSoto, Ks.; 
eight grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, October 14, 
1992 at Consalus Chapel, Clinton, with Bro. Jim Hammock officiating. Music was 
Ivory Palaces and Just a Closer Walk With Thee. Cremation.
