TURNER OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== TURNER, Minnie May POWERS 1908 - 1992 Minnie May Turner was born February 2, 1908 in Henry County, the daughter of Linden Dwight and Mary Alice (Eagleson) Powers. She passed away October 8, 1992 at Western Missouri Medical Center, Warrensburg, at the age of 84 years, 8 months and 6 days. Minnie was married to Arthur C. Turner June 8, 1935. She lived in Chilhowee most of her life. Mr. and Mrs. Turner were former owners of the Heet Gas Company in Chilhowee. Mrs. Turner was a member of the Chilhowee Community United Methodist Church. She was a past matron and 50 year member of Eastern Star. She is survived by a sister, Mary A. Dean, formerly of Holden, now a resident of Warrensburg Manor Care Center, Warrensburg; also surviving are several nieces and nephews among whom are: Mrs. Robert L. Marshall and Mrs. Mike Burgard, both of Warrensburg, Kenneth Powers, Rogers, Ar., and William Martin of Ponca City, Ok. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, and one brother, Ralph Powers. Funeral services were at 3 p.m., Sunday, October 11, 1992 at Chilhowee Community United Methodist Church, Chilhowee, with Rev. Peggy Eshelman and Pastor Lee Ward officiating. Music was in The Garden and How Great Thou Art with Caroline McQuitty and Janet Smith, vocalists, and Cena Dunn, organist. Pallbearers were Max Bancroft, Charles Hampton, Earl Ward, Bob Phillips, Julius Wall, John Lankford.
