TUTER OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== TUTER, Stella Opal BOYLES 1901 - 1992 Stella Opal Tuter, daughter of Charles and Maude Niece Boyles, was born September 3, 1901, in St. Clair County. She passed away January 7, 1992, at the Sycamore View Healthcare Center in Clinton at the age of 90. She lived in this area most of her life. She was married to Erven Tuter who preceded her in death in 1959. She worked in the food service business, being employed as both cook and waitress in restaurants over the years. She was a member of the Calhoun Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Clester (Mike) Tuter of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and two daughters, Cleora Witherspoon and Emma Burton, both of Clinton; 23 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great- grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 1992, at the Consalus Chapel, Clinton. Reverend Craig Stevens officiating. Musical selection was The Old Rugged Cross with Lewis Delozier as soloist and Helen Shrout, organist. Pallbearers were Gordon Ware, Bobby Ware, Mike Burton, Wayne Burton, Dale Tuter, Erven Tuter, Keith Tuter and Ralph Tuter. Burial was in Englewood Cemetery. TUTER, Zella Viola WARE 1910 - 1992 Zella Viola Tuter was born January 10, 1910, in Purcell, Oklahoma, the daughter of Charles and Clouva (Fox) Ware. She passed away October 1, 1992, at Westwood Nursing Home at the age of 82. She was married to Henry Everett Tuter in 1928. To this union eight children were born. She was a member of the Northeast Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Wilson Tuter of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Bill Tuter of Deepwater; three daughters, Kathleen Shoemaker of Kansas City, Marie Campbell of Springfield, and Opal Myers of Deepwater; four sisters, Helen Long, Nola Tuter, Betty Long and Leona Henson, all of Springfield; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Everett; two sons, Earl Dee Tuter and Kenneth Olen Tuter, and one daughter, Kathryn Lee Tuter. Services were at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 1992, at the Consalus Chapel, Clinton. Brother Jim Hammock officiated. Rock of Ages and The Old rugged Cross were sung by Eugene R. Consalus with Scott Brooks accompanied on the organ. Pallbearers were Rick Tuter, Roger Tuter, Freddie Tuter, Bryan Courtney, Tom Courtney and John Myers.
